These are just some of the meaningful words in the California Constitution, and Pride events give us a chance to celebrate how far we have come in trying to make every word a reality for every Californian. LGBT Pride events are also a chance to renew our commitment to achieving the goal of marriage equality in California. As your Secretary of State, I am proud to manage the California Domestic Partners Registry that enables tens of thousands of couples to benefit from increasingly more legal rights and responsibilities until true equality under the law is achieved.
