California Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and It is with great pleasure that I send my warmest greetings as you gather for this year's Pride Celebration. Although I cannot be there, I am with you in spirit. The road to equality is long and presents many challenges. The passage of Proposition 8 has been a difficult setback, but all movements for civil rights have seen significant obstacles, and the fight for equality is far from over. Those of us who believe passionately in equal rights for all are inspired by our new leadership in Washington. We have great cause for hope.
